Prosper ISD / Prosper High School, Rock Hill High School, and Walnut Grove High School
Request
Prosper ISD built three new high school campuses over a six-year period, each of which required a storm shelter to protect students and staff in the event of severe weather, particularly tornadoes.
Solution
Speed Fab Crete designed, fabricated, and installed precast ICC 500 storm shelters within the three new high school campuses. Each storm shelter doubled as high school gymnasiums, capable of safeguarding the entire campus population, totaling several thousand, during severe wind events.
Results
The Prosper ISD storm shelters were successfully completed on time and within budget. They provide a safe haven for thousands of students and staff during severe weather events, offering peace of mind to the school communities and parents.
